TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment

Scottish Food accepts the following credit and debit cards Access, MasterCard, Visa, Switch. All these cards are accepted by our gateway payment gateway and will appear on your statement as The Taste of Moray. If you are unhappy with this method of payment we are happy to take credit card details over the phone or accept payment by cheque through the post. Cheques payable to The Taste of Moray

Security

Minimum Orders

Our Postage and packaging charges are subsidised. We therefore ask for Minimum orders of £30.00 to UK addresses

Packaging

If ordered “Boxed” our products are packed in polystyrene insulated boxes with ice packs if required. These boxes are then put in cardboard postal outers. Wooden Gift Boxes and baskets are placed in cardboard outers and have ice packs included if required

Delivery Methods

Standard service deliveries within the United Kingdom are made by FedEx . Packages are fully trackable. Details of tracking are provided by email to the purchaser once the parcel has been collected by FedEx

Deliveries

Deliveries are, in the great majority of cases, made on the date requested.  If a delay occurs and the parcel cannot be delivered on the requested date, the carriers guarantee to deliver it the next day. If there is nobody in to sign for the parcel a note can be left instructing the carriers to, for example, leave next door, leave in garage etc. Should the carriers not receive any instructions a card will be left informing the recipient of a telephone number to call to arrange delivery. Unless otherwise instructed, should there be nobody at the delivery address to sign for the Hamper, the carriers will, if they feel it appropriate, leave the parcel safe and card the recipient. Returns

In the unlikely event of the goods being found to be faulty please contact Scottish Food and we will arrange collection. Faulty or damaged goods must be reported to us within 2 days of delivery, and a refund or a replacement will be arranged with the customer.

Delivery Damage

In the event of damaged or faulty goods, customers must contact Scottish Food in writing within 7 days of receipt. In this case Scottish Food will, depending upon our customers’ preference, arrange for the damaged product or products to be picked up by our carrier or their agents and returned to the company. Scottish Food will only send a replacement product, upon confirmation that the damaged items have been returned. Perishable goods must have been kept refrigerated from the day of delivery.

Delivery Charges

These are automatically added to the cost of the products as part of the process of submitting an order. Customers are not asked to complete an order until they have been informed of all charges

Insurance

Prior to delivery all deliveries are insured by Scottish Food.

Local Taxes and Duties

Are the responsibility of the shopper in the country of destination. Scottish Food cannot be held responsible for any delays in Overseas delivery due to collections of these duties or taxes, or delays at Customs.

VAT

Where applicable, is included in the cost of each product.

Order Confirmations

Once you have submitted an order using our on-line shopping system, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Providing the goods have not been dispatched orders can be cancelled at any time by contacting us. Click “CONTACT & ABOUT US” Once goods have been delivered, we are unable to have orders cancelled or returned, unless the goods are found to be faulty. This clause is inserted because of the perishable nature of our produce.

Substitutions

If a product is not available a substitution will be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. Please inform us on the ORDER FORM if you are not willing to accept substitutions

To follow up on the delivery of a product please email us at info@scottishgourmetfood.co.uk or ring us on 01667 451051. We are open 6 days a week 9.00am-5.00pm GMT. Calls are charged at the standard rate. On despatch of an order the customer is supplied with a consignment number. The Parcel is fully trackable on the Fedex website

Data Protection

Scottish Gourmet Food will not disclose customer information, our database remains confidential to the company. Scottish Food works within the guidelines set-out in the Data Protection Act 1998.

Alcohol

Persons legally permitted to do so, by local licensing regulations, may order products containing alcohol . Because of Customs regulations no alcohol can be sent to the USA or Canada.

Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch ( which is usually the day prior to requested delivery date) by email or phone.

Unforeseen circumstances

While every effort will be made to meet customers demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of Scottish Gourmet Food..

Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us immediately by e-mail at info@scottishfood or by phone on 016667 451051 9.00am-5.00pm GMT 6 days a week. calls charged at the standard rate. Complaints will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt, and will be dealt with as speedily as possible.

Refusal

Scottish Food reserve the right to refuse sale of goods.

Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Scottish Law. By ordering products from our site you indicate your acceptance of these terms and conditions under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Scotland.
