Potted Morecambe Bay Shrimps
Showing all 4 results
Morecambe Bay brown shrimps are local to the bay, in Lancashire next to the Lake District in the North of England.
They are cooked onboard in sea water before they are boiled in butter and spices. They are a delicious snack, and have been caught by the local fisherman for hundreds of years, using the same recipe to cook them.
The potted shrimp are ready to eat, simply spread onto hot toasted ciabatta or any other chunky white bread, with a sprinkling of cayenne pepper and enjoy the flavour of the little shrimps! They could also be popped in the microwave or lightly fried for a minute or two so that the butter melts. Perfect for a summer starter, or even as a tasty breakfast treat.
